To tighten up and stop making accuses.

During Otakon I got to hang out with some old friends of mine from SCAD as well as make some new friends and whatnot and while wandering about Artist Alley I couldn't help but take notes. Basically I just took note about what sells and what doesn't. I'm not gonna get into a rant about where the money is and what kids spend their money on (fanart) because well that would take far too long. And besides, it was an anime convention after all. It just sucks to see that... nope almost fell into a trap there.

The bottom line is a lot of the artists there had a large number of prints for sale. Stuff with varying energies and moods. Variety of character art and the like. And I don't have that stuff...yet. But that's what I'll be working on. I wanna focus on my own original characters and stories and hope that people enjoy them way I do. And ya know maybe make some money off of them at cons. But...I'll probably have to do some fan art of my own, and who knows, maybe I won't have to.

So here's the plan. I'm gonna spend a good year getting an army of finished drawings. And make a convention debut sometime next year. Probably a comic book convention, but only time will tell which ones. I definitely wanna go to SDCC next year. But I want to enjoy that one.

As the title suggests I'm working on a not so secret project. It's a my website that has still yet to receive an official name. I would love to simply use RedSpade dot something. But unfortunately that's been taken and I kind of don't want a number in my web address. Either way, all new arts will not be uploaded until the sites done. Ah... that's not true. I might as well update while I work on it. Theres no real reason not to. Mah, either way.

But I'm truly excited about this. I know nothing about html. Well knew nothing. I've had to look up the code for the "a href="http://website here">to visible text here" every time i needed to make a link to my blog or to anyone else pages for that matter. It's coming along quite slowly but that's fine. I'm learning something new every 45 SECONDS!!

I'm still on the basics and I'm using Dreamweaver like it's MS Notebook. Haven't even touched CSS. Looking forward to that though. And Frames, and Flash, and wordpress(?) or is it RSS, XHtml. Tons of stuff to research! Guess I'll get back to it.

I don't update very often. Why is that you ask? Well I'll tell you. It's cause I'm lazy. That and I don't own a scanner. But for now I do have a bit of things that I can share.

For the time being I'm working on a website, a re-write, and brand new one-shot. A shorter one the will begin and end in no more than 40 pages...hopefully. over the next two months I'm going to pencil, ink, letter, tone, bind/print these suckers out. I heard editors like to see finished comics so the next time I meet one I'll be sure to have one on hand. So design works will be up, sketches will stay on the blog though. TS (Tetra Slash) updates for now. SS (Shonen Style) updates for later.

Oh some pages Inked for editors may show up as well.

My room is finally cleaned and I'm re-situated at home again and now... it's time to draw.

I'll be one of the happiest people on earth.

I'll have a degree. I'll be done with SCAD and then I can take my time with everything that I draw,and produce awesome things, all while looking for a job. It's gonna be awesome. Best of all I'll get to practice Practice PRACTICE!! I'm gonna hone in on all of my weakness and make them go AWAY!! or at least make them not...weak? Backgrounds and Hands I'm lookin' right at you two. EITHER WAY!! I can hardly contain my excitement. I'm in my final Final's Weekend and it the least stressful one I've ever had.

I can't take it!!

The universe is paying me back of all the $hit it's been dumping one for the last several years. I've got decent artwork, free grilled chicken, my girlfriends coming down to visit (sort of), I've saved enough money to buy a mac book (finally), and I get a portfolio review from Viz Media. But to top it off the day after I graduate my family and I are going on vacation. It's been years since we've had one of those. It's great!! Which MAKES ME WORRY!!!

With all this good stuff happening so rapidly, I just know something amazingly horrible is going to happen to me in the near future.
